Volunteering experience:
Brief description of HARRA volunteer service performed (roles, responsibilities, relate an experience or story, etc.): I man the water stations at various races. I also hauled the HARRA equipment, set up the tents, work the HARRA booth, and PROMOTE HARRA wherever I go. For two years, I was the Refreshment Chairperson for the "Just For Kids Fun Run", Water Captain for the Tomball Country Classic, the 25K too, and T-Shirt Chairperson for the 20K.
How did you get involved with volunteering or what motivates you to volunteer? Actually, Joe, my husband, got me involved with volunteering. Joe started running in 1990 and since I had nothing to do, he volunteered me to work water stations until I started running in 1992. Since then, it has been an enjoyment knowing that runners appreciate what you have done. Try It, It's a GREAT Feeling!!!
